Wireless Handheld PCs

With Fleet Assistant’s Tire Module, you’ll be able to determine your tire costs on a per-mile, per-vehicle basis. Our wireless capabilities coupled with our handheld PC and Bluetooth data collection devices, help you minimize the data entry necessary to capture two essential elements of tire management: air pressure and tread depth.

How the Wireless Tire Module is Used

Using Cetaris’ handheld computer, your technician identifies the vehicle. Fleet Assistant then displays a map of the tire configuration for that particular vehicle. Your technician then scans a barcode (or manually enters data) to validate the entry against the physical tire.

The Bluetooth device is both a tread depth probe and an air pressure gauge which your technician can use to capture tire pressure and tread depths quickly and accurately. One of your other workers can physically check the tires for track problems, nails, cuts, chips, cracks or unusual wear and tear. This will allow you to catch problems during normal PM, in your yard, on your terms, at your costs – saving hundreds of dollars on roadside service and late delivery penalties.

Effective Tire Reporting through On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP)

During the analysis phase of your fleet’s tires, Fleet Assistant gives you the ability to create multidimensional models of data within your database. You can easily access these models using Microsoft Excel where you’ll realize the powerful analytic capabilities of Fleet Assistant when combined with Excel functionalities. Your users can produce accurate reports to examine cost per mile, tread wear patterns, and tire performance by make, model and position.
