About The Role

As a Data Integration Developer, you will learn our existing System Integration framework, and help us develop Cetaris’ next generation System Integration Modules using the latest technologies to help our customers reduce their maintenance costs and increase usability. Your outputs will help automate dataflows and optimize the maintenance operations of some of the world’s largest organizations.

What You Will Do

  • Work with application development teams and customers to develop various interfaces between our application and other software systems.
  • Perform testing and develop automated tests for system interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot and solve issues with integrations and customer interfaces.
  • Deploy Cetaris interfaces to customer environments.
  • Create user and technical documentation for system interfaces.
  • Identify issues that affect deployment and help eliminate root causes.
  • Work with a friendly, approachable agile project team that is always looking to challenge their process.

Career Path

With increased product knowledge, Data Integration Developers can:

  1. Liaise with Fortune 10 customers by understanding their integration requirements. Then work with an innovative dev team to build out integration points, and implement the integration solution with the customer.
  2. Train customer teams to utilize integration functionality effectively.
  3. Act in a Business Analyst or Project Management role for specific integration projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience with data integration in a software development environment.
  • 2-4 years of experience with TSQL on MSSQL Server (any version). Other database systems would be an asset.
  • You read and interpret XML.
  • You have experience with testing and writing unit tests.
  • You have good knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and the Microsoft Office and Windows platforms.
  • Post-secondary education in computer science, math, data analysis or equivalent degrees/diplomas/certifications.

Personal Attributes

  • You are passionate about learning new systems, problem solving, and managing the flow of large amounts of data.
  • You easily grasp and interpret complex business concepts, processes, and rules.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts in user-friendly terms.
  • You can clearly articulate your design ideas and concepts to others verbally and in writing. At the same time, you are team oriented and adaptable enough to collaborate on the final design.
  • Persistent by nature, you focus on achieving your project team’s outcomes.
  • You have excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in systems analysis and solution design in large, complex systems environments.
  • Experience with paired development using C# and ASP.NET.
  • PowerShell experience and other scripting languages are also helpful.
  • Basic understanding of accounting practices and principles.
  • Experience working in an agile environment, particularly with Scrum.
  • Knowledge of asset management or transportation maintenance industries - or the curiosity to learn!

Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position (40 hours/week), with annual salary (based on experience) plus bonus. Flexible work schedule and shared comprehensive health benefits and insurance plan.
